- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 4 Tbsp. shortening (margarine)
- 3/4 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 c. raisins
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients over shortening.

2Blend with pastry blender.

3Add raisins and buttermilk; mix.

4Knead until smooth. Roll out on board into log and slice with knife.

5Bake at 425° for 10 minutes on an ungreased pan.

6Ice if desired.
