  • 1 c. raisins (soaked in tea and let cool)
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 1/4 c. butter
