- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. buttermilk
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl; add vanilla; beat until fluffy.

2Add eggs; beat well.

3Sift flour, soda and salt.

4Add to mixture alternately with buttermilk.

5Drop by teaspoon on greased baking sheet.

6Sprinkle with sugar.

7Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown on edge.
