  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 c. sweet milk
  • flour (about 3 c.)
  • 1 heaping tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla or flavor of choice

    Combine shortening and sugar.

    Add well beaten eggs and milk; beat well.

    Mix dry ingredients; add gradually.

    Chilled dough rolls better.

    Roll thin, cut in desired shapes.

    Use flour to make rolled dough. Bake on 375° about 8 minutes.
