  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • enough flour to make stiff dough (plain)

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add eggs, beating after each egg. Add cream of tartar, soda and flour; mix well.

    Add vanilla and mix well.

    Knead; roll out and cut with cookie cutters.

    Bake at 300° for 8 to 10 minutes.
