- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- enough flour to make stiff dough (plain)
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Add eggs, beating after each egg. Add cream of tartar, soda and flour; mix well.

3Add vanilla and mix well.

4Knead; roll out and cut with cookie cutters.

5Bake at 300° for 8 to 10 minutes.
