Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter or shortening
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. butter flavoring (optional)
  • 4 c. plain flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time.

    Add dry ingredients, milk and flavoring.

    Mix well.

    Roll into small balls and flatten with hands.

    Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325° until light golden brown.
