- 1 c. butter or shortening
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3 Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. butter flavoring (optional)
- 4 c. plain flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time.

2Add dry ingredients, milk and flavoring.

3Mix well.

4Roll into small balls and flatten with hands.

5Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325° until light golden brown.
