- 1 c. milk
- 1 stick butter (1/4 lb.)
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 3 c. flour
Directions

1Stir milk, butter, sugar and salt in a saucepan until warm. Beat eggs very well, reserving 1 teaspoon for glaze.

2Add eggs to milk mixture.

3Add dry yeast and flour and mix well.

4Let rise in warm place until double in bulk.

5Knead on floured board.

6Roll into rectangular shape and spread with butter.

7Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture.

8Roll up; shape into a ring and place in greased 9-inch round pan.

9Cut crisscross slits on top, about 1-inch deep.

10Let rise until double.

11Brush with reserved teaspoon of beaten egg.

12Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

13Frost with almond glaze.
