- 1 head lettuce, cut up
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 c. shredded carrots
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1 box frozen peas
- 1 c. mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 8 slices crisp bacon, broken into bits
- 4 oz. shredded sharp cheese
Directions

1Layer the ingredients in order given in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Cover tightly and leave in refrigerator overnight or at least six hours.

2The lettuce doesn't limp and the natural juices and mayonnaise make a dressing.

3You may want to add radishes or cucumbers to your taste.

4This is a great dish to make a day ahead of time.
