- 2 1/2 to 3 lb. beef chuck roast
- onion and garlic powder to flavor
- 4 carrots, cut into 1 1/2-inch strips
- 2 large potatoes, cut in quarters
- 2 onions, cut in eighths
- 1 c. water or wine
Directions

1Moisten meat.

2Put onion and garlic powder on.

3Pierce with fork.

4Place in a 3-quart microwave casserole.

5Cover; microwave on High for 5 minutes.

6Reduce to Medium for 25 minutes.

7Turn meat over; arrange vegetables around meat.

8Cover; microwave on Medium 25 to 35 more minutes, until meat and vegetables are done. Allow to stand 5 to 10 minutes while making gravy, if desired.
