  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 12 cup vinegar (white or cider)
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 12 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 12 lbs chicken breasts

    Cut up garlic and ginger.

    In the pot, stir together everything except the chicken.

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

    Simmer the mixture on 3-4/10 for 10-15 minutes or until it has thickened.

    While the sauce simmers, line the casserole dish with aluminum foil and wash the chicken, placing it into the lined casserole dish, then take a fork and poke holes in each side of the chicken in a few places.

    Once the sauce has thickened, cover the chicken with the sauce, then cover the casserole dish with aluminum foil.

    Cook for 20 minutes covered, then uncover, turn over the chicken, and cook another 20 minutes.
