  • 3 c. boiling water
  • 3/4 c. grits
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. savory salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1/2 lb. grated American sharp cheese
  • 2 eggs, well beaten

Directions

    Boil grits in boiling water for 15 minutes.

    Add more water, if necessary.

    Add salt, savory salt, Tabasco sauce, eggs and margarine.

    Mix well and pour into a 9 x 13-inch utility dish that has been greased.

    Bake 1 hour in 250° oven.

    Good served with ham or chicken.
