Ingredients

  • 1 package Fresh, Crusty Hoagie Rolls
  • 1 pound Top Sirloin Steak, Tenderized
  • 2 Tablespoons Coarse Steak Seasoning, Any Kind
  • 1 whole Green Bell Pepper
  • 1 cup Thinly Sliced Sweet Onion
  • 1 cup Regular Mayonnaise
  • 2 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard
  • 1 package Smoked Provolone Or Pepper Jack Cheese
  • Butter, For Toasting
  • Oil, For Grilling Or Pan Frying

Directions

  1. 1
I use my stovetop grill pan to grill the steaks inside, but I have also pan-fried them.
  2. 2
    They are great either way!
  3. 3
Season the steaks evenly with the coarse steak seasoning.
  4. 4
Brush your grill pan with oil or add 2 tablespoons of canola or olive oil to your pan.
  5. 5
Grill steaks until medium well or to your liking.
  6. 6
I usually cut the green bell pepper and onion into large-sized slices and add them to the grill pan as well, until they are roasted and still crisp.
  7. 7
Brush the hoagie rolls with butter and toast them either in the oven or over the top of the grill pan with all the yummy steak brown bits.
  8. 8
In a mixing bowl, combine the mayo and dijon mustard and mix well.
  9. 9
Spread a moderate layer onto the crusty rolls.
  10. 10
Slice the steak against the grain and layer onto toasted rolls, along with the peppers.
  11. 11
Place 2 slices or half a cup of shredded cheese over the top of the steak slices.
  12. 12
Place them back into the oven until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  13. 13
Bake up a mess of crispy oven wedge fries and you are set!
  14. 14
    Enjoy!
