  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk (or 1/2 c. milk mixed with 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar)
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Put butter, cocoa and water in pan and cook until boiling. Pour over sugar and flour mixture.

    Add buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla.

    Mix well.

    Pour into greased cookie sheet.

    Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.

    Frost with Texas Sheet Cake Frosting.
