Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1/2 c. sifted plain flour
  • dash of salt (1/8 tsp.)
  • 2 eggs

Directions

    Melt margarine in boiling water.

    Add flour and salt all at once and stir vigorously.

    Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture forms a ball that doesn't separate.

    Remove from heat and cool slightly.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating vigorously after each addition until mixture is smooth.

    Drop by 1/2 teaspoon about 1 1/2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet.

    Bake in very hot oven at 450° for 10 minutes.

    Reduce heat to 350° and bake 10 minutes. Remove with spatula and cool on rack.

    Makes about 4 dozen.
