  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 4 to 5 small pureed tomatoes

Directions

    Puree tomatoes. Cream sugar and butter until fluffy. Add eggs, tomatoes and vanilla.

    Beat until smooth.

    Sift dry ingredients. Add to mixture.

    Put in greased loaf pan or 8 x 8-inch square pan. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
