  • 1 (10 oz.) can tomato puree
  • 1/4 c. boiling water
  • 6 Tbsp. light brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. white bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 c. butter

Directions

    Add sugar and salt to tomato puree and water; boil for 5 minutes.

    Place bread cubes in casserole.

    Pour melted butter over them.

    Add the tomato mixture.

    Bake, covered, for 30 minutes at 375°.

    Serve with meats.
