Tomato Pudding

Ingredients
- 2 qt. whole tomatoes
- 1 or 2 loaves day-old bread
- 1/2 stick butter
- salt
- pepper
Directions

1Blend, stir or squeeze tomatoes into small pieces.

2Put in a pot and simmer.

3Add butter, salt and pepper to taste.

4Crumble bread into small pieces.

5Stir in tomatoes until mixture is very moist and very thick.

6Butter pan and pour mixture into it.

7Bake at 350° to 400° until firm and top is slightly brown.

8(Leftover biscuits may be used in place of loaf bread.)
