- 4 qt. tomatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 stalk celery or leaves, chopped
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
Directions

1Place all ingredients in a large kettle.

2Cook over medium heat until tomatoes are tender.

3Remove bay leaf.

4Force through strainer or process in blender.

5Return tomato mixture to heat and cook until reduced to half the original volume.

6Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal.

7Yields 3 pints.
