  • 1 c. corn flake crumbs (about 4 c. corn flakes before crushing)
  • 6 large tomatoes
  • salt
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 3 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped

Directions

    Cut tomatoes crosswise into halves.

    Place cut side up in shallow baking pan.
  3. 3
    Sprinkle cut surfaces with salt.
  4. 4
    Blend together butter, corn flake crumbs, parsley and garlic.

    Make upright cuts part way into tomato halves.
  6. 6
    Spread corn flake crumb mixture over cut surface of tomatoes, pressing mixture gently into upright cuts.

    Bake in 400° oven for about 10 minutes.
