- 3 c. flour
- 1 c. yellow cornmeal
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 1/2 c. cold water
- cooking oil
Directions

1In large bowl, mix flour, cornmeal and baking powder.

2Mix in shortening with fork.

3Stir in egg and water to form a stiff dough. Knead 5 minutes.

4Divide into four equal parts.

5Roll each into a 10-inch square, about 1/8-inch thick; cut into 2-inch squares. Divide each square into 2 triangles.

6Fry in 1-inch hot oil (about 360°) for 2 minutes, or until golden on both sides.

7Drain on paper towels.

8Sprinkle with popcorn salt.

9Store in airtight containers or plastic bags.
