Ingredients

  • 6 corn tortillas
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies, undrained
  • 1 can beef broth, undiluted
  • 1 can chicken broth, undiluted
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
  • 2 to 3 chicken breasts, boiled and cubed
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • shredded Cheddar cheese
  • paprika

Directions

    Cut tortillas in bite-size pieces.

    Set aside.

    Saute onion and garlic in hot oil in a large pan (Dutch oven).

    Add next 10 ingredients; bring to a boil.

    Cover, reduce heat and simmer 1 hour.

    Add tortilla pieces, simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes.

    Serve with 2 to 3 tablespoons of cheese in each bowl and sprinkle with paprika.

    Crisp chips go well also.
