Traditional Sangria

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Oranges, Sliced Thin
  • 2 whole Apples, Sliced Thin
  • 3 cups Brandy, Divided
  • 1 bottle (750ml Size) Shiraz
  • 1/3 cups Triple Sec
  • 3 cups Orange Juice
  • 1/2 cups Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 cups Sugar
  • Ice
  • 3-1/2 cups Club Soda

Directions

    Place sliced fruit in 1 cup brandy and let soak for 8 to 12 hours in refrigerator. Chill all other ingredients (it's not essential to chill triple sec).

    In a large punch bowl, combine wine, remaining 2 cups brandy and triple sec. In a separate bowl, stir together orange juice, lemon juice and sugar until sugar dissolves. Then add orange/lemon juice mixture to the punch bowl. Add ice, top with club soda and garnish with orange and apple slices.
