Ingredients
- 2 c. raisins
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 c. margarine or butter, softened
- 1 1/3 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. Quaker oats (quick, uncooked)
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. walnuts
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Heat oven to 375°.

2Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan. In medium saucepan, combine the first 4 ingredients.

3Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, just until mixture begins to bubble.

4Remove from heat; cool slightly.

5Beat margarine, sugar and vanilla until fluffy.

6Add remaining ingredients; blend until evenly mixed and crumbly; reserve 2 cups.

7Press remaining mixture into bottom of pan.

8Spread raisin mixture to within 1/2-inch of edges.

9Sprinkle with remaining oat mixture; pat lightly.

10Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.

11Cool completely.

12Cut into bars.
