Tuna Gratin

Ingredients

  • 4 cans tuna in water
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon powder
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 450 milliliters crema media, may substitute half and half
  • 300 grams manchego cheese shredded, may substitute a mild cheddar, colby or mozzarella

Directions

    Mix the tuna, onion, bouillon and milk in a bowl with a little salt.

    Prepare the rice, or buy precooked.

    In a medium-sized baking dish, place in layers:

    Half the tuna mixture, half the cooked rice, half the cream, half the cheese. Repeat with the other half of ingredients.

    Bake at 200 C for approximately 15 minutes, until the cheese

    browns slightly.
