Turkey Bean Casserole

- 2 turkey drumsticks
- 1 1/4 c. water
- 1 c. onion
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 2 lb. cans white beans
- 1/4 c. tomato paste
- 4 Smoky link sausages, halved
Directions

1Place turkey in large kettle with water, onion, bay leaf, salt and thyme.

2Heat to boiling.

3Cover tightly and simmer until meat is tender, about 2 hours.

4Cool.

5Debone.

6Boil down liquid remaining to 3/4 cup.

7Drain some of the liquid from beans.

8Add to turkey with tomato paste and sausages and mix well.

9Place in baking dish.
-
10Bake at 350° for 45 minutes, covered.

11Uncover last 15 minutes.
