  • 2 cups dried kidney beans
  • 2 Tbsp. olive or vegetable oil
  • 2 lbs. ground turkey
  • 1 large onion, coarsely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 medium green chile pepper, seeded & coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. pure chile powder
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 2 tsp. Mexican oregano
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
