Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. margarine
  • 1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 30 caramels, quartered
  • 1 (7 oz.) jar Marshmallow Creme
  • 1 c. pecan halves
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Combine sugar, margarine and evaporated milk in heavy 2 1/2 to 3-quart saucepan; bring to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly.

    Boil 5 minutes over medium heat or until thermometer reaches 234°, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.

    Remove from heat.

    Add chocolate pieces and stir until melted.

    Add remaining ingredients and heat until well blended.

    Pour into a 13 x 9-inch pan.

    Cool at room temperature and cut into squares. Makes 3 1/2 pounds.
