- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 12 cups light corn syrup
- 1 dash salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 6 ounces chocolate chips
- 3 cups whole pecans
Directions

1In a bowl, mix the heavy cream and milk together.

2In a saucepan mix--2 1/4 cups of the milk mixture and save the rest, white sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt.

3Bring to a boil over medium heat stirring to dissolve sugar.

4Cook to soft ball stage.

5Gradually add remaining milk mixture maintaining boiling to firm ball stage.

6Remove from heat.

7Add vanilla and butter.

8Arrange pecans on greased wax paper in groups of four and spoon caramel over them quickly.

9Melt the chocolate bits slowly over hot water and then frost the caramel.
