- 4 Tbsp. oleo
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. chopped green peppers
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 c. canned peas, drained
- 1/2 c. shredded carrot
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 3 Tbsp. flour
Directions

1Make pastry with 2 1/2 cups of flour.

2Melt butter in skillet. Add onion, green peppers and beef; brown lightly.

3Add peas and carrots and sprinkle with salt, pepper and 3 tablespoons of flour. Stir well.

4Divide pastry dough in half.

5Roll each into a 12-inch circle.

6Moisten edges of dough with water.

7Fold pastry over filling like a giant turnover and press edges together to seal.

8Cut open design for escape of steam.

9Bake in a very hot oven (450°) for 15 minutes.

10Reduce heat to moderate (375°) and continue baking for 20 minutes.
