  • 3 cakes or pkg. yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. warm water
  • 3 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 7 c. flour or more

Directions

    Beat the first 4 ingredients until foamy.

    Add the shortening, salt and flour.

    Knead just enough to mix well.

    Let rise until double in bulk.

    Make into buns.

    Let rise again; bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 400° to 450°.
