- 1 c. soft butter
- 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 325°, then grease the baking pan.

2Measure the butter into the mixing bowl.

3Add powdered sugar to the butter.

4Mix thoroughly and then add the vanilla.

5Add the flour and knead the mixture with your hands until it forms one smooth lump.

6Press the dough into a baking pan.

7Smooth the top with a spatula.

8Prick the dough lightly with a fork.

9Put the baking pan in the oven for 40 to 45 minutes.

10Cut them into squares with a knife.

11Put the squares aside to cool.
