  • 1 cup superfine sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 vanilla bean, split in half

Directions

    Add ingredients to a saucepan, stir to mix.

    Bring to a boil over medium heat; decrease heat and simmer 8-10 minutes, until sugar is dissolved; stir occasionally.

    Let cool; use a sieve to strain the syrup into a sterilized and sealed container; store in the refrigerator.
