- 1 1/2 lb. veal steak (1/4-inch thick)
- season to taste
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 lb. sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 Tbsp. chopped onions
- 3 Tbsp. tomato sauce
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. beef broth
- 2 Tbsp. sherry wine
Directions

1Brown veal lightly in 4 tablespoons butter.

2Season to taste. Saute mushrooms and onion in casserole dish (2-quart) with rest of butter for 5 minutes.

3Add tomato sauce, water, beef broth and wine.

4Bring to boil.

5Pour over meat; cover.

6Bake at 375° for 55 minutes.

7Serve over hot buttered noodles.
