- 1 beaten egg
- 3 c. crushed saltines or bread crumbs (put 1 c. aside)
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Mix together and shape into flat patties or cone shape.

2Drop into deep fat (hot) until brown and top with cream of celery soup or cream sauce.
