- 1 c. cooked drained barley
- 1 c. slightly crushed, cooked chickpeas
- 1/2 c. quick cooking oatmeal (raw)
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1 small stalk celery
- 1/2 small onion
- 1 scallion
- 1 clove garlic
Directions

1Combine the first 7 ingredients in a large bowl.

2In a blender, finely chop the remaining ingredients.

3Add the chopped vegetables to the ingredients in the bowl and mix thoroughly. Shape into patties.

4Melt margarine in a frying

5pan and cook over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes on each side or until lightly browned.
