- 4 slightly beaten eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. scalded milk
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Directions

1Thoroughly mix eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla.

2Slowly stir in hot milk.

3At once, pour into unbaked pie shell.

4Dash top with nutmeg.

5Bake in very hot oven (475°) for 5 minutes; reduce heat to 425 and bake for 10 minutes longer or until knife inserted halfway in center comes out clean.

6Cool on rack.

7Serve cool or at room temperature.
