  • 1 lb. deer steak, sliced thin
  • 3 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Slice the steak thin; mix flour, salt and pepper in a paper bag.

    Shake the steak in the bag until the meat is coated good. Put the shortening in a hot frying pan and put the meat in.

    Brown and turn and cook until the blood is all gone and golden brown.
