Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 (15 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
  • 2 cans red kidney beans
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 ??? chili powder
  • 1/2 c. taco sauce (hot)

Directions

    In large skillet, cook onion, green pepper and garlic in butter until tender (not brown).

    Add meat; cook until lightly browned.

    Remove excess fat.

    Add rest of ingredients; simmer 1/2 to 1 hour.

    Remove bay leaf.
