  • 2 doz. medium green cucumbers
  • 1/2 doz. onions
  • 1/2 gal. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. white mustard seed
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 5 drops oil of cinnamon
  • 5 drops oil of cloves
  • 1 tsp. turmeric

Directions

    Peel cucumbers, slice and sprinkle with salt.

    Let stand 24 hours.

    Drain well.

    Slice onions, pour boiling water over them and let stand for 24 hours.

    Mix remaining ingredients.

    Cook these with cucumbers and onions 20 minutes.
