Warm Fruit Compote

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 6 pitted dried plums, chopped
- 6 dried apricots, chopped
- 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 firm ripe pear, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- Yogurt or honey, to serve
Directions

1Melt the butter in a heavy saucepan over medium heat.

2Add the fruit and cinnamon stick.

3Cook gently, stirring often, until the fruit has completely softened.

4Stir in the sugar and heat for a couple of minutes, or until the sugar has dissolved.

5Remove the pan from the heat, and stir in the lemon juice.

6Serve warm with a spoonful of yogurt or a drizzle of honey.
