  • 1 lb. ground beef or turkey
  • 1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans (undrained)
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. white vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar

    In a 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat, cook ground meat 4 to 5 minutes or until no longer pink, stirring frequently. Drain excess fat.

    Stir in remaining ingredients.

    Bring to a boil.

    Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. If desired, top with chopped onion, shredded cheese or sour cream. Makes 4 servings.
