  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • 4 Tbsp. Crisco
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. currants
  • milk

Directions

    Beat egg with enough milk to equal 2/3 cup.

    Add to sifted dry ingredients, then add currants.

    Add Crisco.

    Mix thoroughly. Drop onto cookie sheet.

    Bake at 400° for 15 minutes.
