  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/8 tsp. almond extract (optional) or 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/3 c. (5 1/3 Tbsp.) butter, melted and cooled to room temperature
  • 1/4 c. sliced almonds (optional)
