- 1/4 lb. white chocolate
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. margarine
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 2 1/2 c. cake flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. pecans, chopped
- 1/2 c. flaked coconut
Directions

1Melt chocolate in boiling water; cool.

2Cream sugar and margarine until fluffy.

3Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating after each addition.

4Combine with chocolate mixture.

5Add vanilla, buttermilk, flour and baking powder alternately to chocolate mixture.

6Do not overbeat.

7Beat egg whites and fold gently into batter.

8Add pecans and coconut.

9Pour into three greased and floured cake pans.

10Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
