- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Crisco
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 3 c. self-rising flour
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Mix thoroughly sugar, Crisco and egg.

2Stir in milk.

3Add flour and blend well.

4Fold in nuts.

5Pour in well-greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.

6Let stand 20 minutes before baking.

7Bake at 350° for 60 to 70 minutes until wooden toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
