Wild Rice Apple Bake

  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. long grain wild rice
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 3 c. chopped apple
  • 2 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
  • 1 c. sliced celery
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 2 1/2 c. water

Directions

    Place contents of rice and seasoning packets in 2-quart casserole.

    Melt butter.

    Add apples and sprinkle with brown sugar.

    Cook until apples are lightly glazed.

    Add celery, raisins and water.

    Bring to a boil.

    Pour over rice, stir and cover. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes.

    Uncover, stir and bake, uncovered, for 5 minutes longer.

    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
