- 1/3 c. uncooked wild rice
- 4 c. chicken broth
- 1/2 c. diced celery
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1/3 c. butter
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. curry
- 1 Tbsp. pimento
- 3/4 c. half and half
- 1/4 c. diced onion
- 1 small carrot
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 c. sliced mushrooms
- 1/4 tsp. white pepper
Directions

1Rinse rice with cold water; drain.

2Cook rice in chicken broth until tender.

3Saute celery, green pepper, onion, mushrooms, carrot and garlic in butter until tender.

4Add flour and cook 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

5Add broth, rice, salt, pepper, curry and pimento.
