  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 1 12 cups butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 (3 ounce) package cherry Jell-O
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 cup dried sweetened cranberries
  • 34 cup slivered almonds
  • powdered sugar

    Heat oven to 375F.

    Combine flour, baking powder and salt in medium bowl and set aside.

    Combine butter and sugar in large mixer bowl.

    Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.

    Add Jell-o, and beat until well mixed.

    Add eggs and almond extract and beat well.

    Reduce speed to low and add flour mixture.

    Beat until just combined.

    Stir in cranberries and almonds by hand.

    Spread batter into greased 15 x 10 jelly- roll pan.

    Bake for 18 to 23 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
