  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 5 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 c. buttermilk or sour milk

    Mix together; flour, baking

    Cut in shortening. Add buttermilk in

    store in refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Remove from refrigerator, let rise slightly, bake 15 minutes at 375°, until brown.
