  • 1 (3 to 3 1/2 lb.) frying chicken, cut into pieces
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
  • 2 large oranges
  • 1/2 tsp. each: ground coriander, ground cumin and salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch, mixed with 1 c. unflavored yogurt

Directions

    Sprinkle chicken lightly with salt and pepper.

    Melt butter in a wide frying pan over medium-high heat.

    Add chicken and cook, turning, until browned on all sides.

    Remove chicken and set aside.
